The National Association of Interscholastic Athletics (NAIA) is the governing body for athletics programs at its nearly 300 colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada. The long-held mission of the NAIA is to promote the education and development of well-rounded students and productive citizens through intercollegiate athletics. The association offers equitable access and opportunities for participation in its 23 national championship events in 13 sports held annually throughout the country.

Today, the NAIA strengthens its commitment to student-athletes and strives to enrich their college experience by supporting academic achievement and character development.

Remember the NCAA Eligibility Center and NAIA Eligibility Center are 2 different entities and must be done separate. For more information please talk to your coach, your school’s Athletic Director, or your school’s NCAA Coordinator.

Student-athletes who desire to pursue athletics at the collegiate level must be certified as an amateur athlete and deemed eligible through the NCAA Eligibility Center.  Students must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center prior to the end of their junior year (although it is recommended earlier) Visit Site >

All FUSD High School core classes are NCAA eligible.  It is recommended that student-athletes take the ACT or SAT at the end of their sophomore year so as to ensure ample opportunities to retake either test throughout their junior and, if necessary, senior years.  Student's section scores can be super-scored, meaning the highest section score from any test administration can be used to form the highest sum score possible.
