Editing PDFs on Canva
Canva has many amazing tools at your disposal. Today, we want to highlight one of them: The Free Online PDF Editor.

There is no need to recreate your PDFs on Canva. You can now simply import them for editing on canva.com via your desktop browser.

Why editing PDFs is useful:

  • Fill out worksheets and forms: Many educational resources, worksheets, and permission slips come in PDF format. Canva's PDF editor allows teachers to easily fill out these documents digitally, eliminating the need for printing and physical paperwork. This can save time and be more environmentally friendly.
  • Create assignments and handouts: Teachers can use Canva's PDF editor to create their own assignments and handouts by incorporating text, images, and other design elements into existing PDF documents. This allows for a more visually engaging and interactive learning experience for students.
  • Personalize learning materials: Teachers can personalize existing PDFs with student names, feedback, or other customized information using Canva's editing tools.
  • Collaborate on documents: Canva allows for collaborative editing on documents. This can be useful for teachers and staff working together on lesson plans, classroom materials, or other projects.
  • Add interactivity: Canva allows for the addition of interactive elements to PDFs, such as links, quizzes, or polls. This can make worksheets and assignments more engaging for students.
In addition to the above benefits, using Canva's online PDF editor eliminates the need to recreate PDFs from scratch. You can simply import your existing PDFs and edit them directly on Canva.com via your desktop browser.

Editing a PDF
Once your PDF is uploaded, you can edit, add, and remove the words, images, and other elements from your document. This gives you incredible flexibility in adapting PDFs to your specific needs.

  • Edit text: Easily modify existing text within the PDF. Change font styles, sizes, and colors. Correct typos, update information, or add new text boxes to provide instructions or additional context.
  • Manipulate images: Resize, rotate, or reposition images within the PDF. Add new images from Canva's extensive library or upload your own. Remove unwanted images or replace them with more relevant visuals.
  • Adjust elements: Move, resize, and rotate any element within the PDF, including shapes, lines, and other design elements. This allows you to fine-tune the layout and presentation of your document.

Some things to note when editing:
  • You can import PDFs with up to 500 pages.
  • You can import PDFs of up to 300MB in size.
  • If your PDF has both text and images, we will break them up for editing purposes.
  • If your PDF is a scan of documents or designs, it can only be processed as a flat or merged image. Its text or design elements can’t be broken up for editing.

Security Tip of the Week
A meme featuring Captain America with the text, 'So you sent an email to all staff but you didn't BCC and now you're drowning in replies.'
To BCC or not to BCC
Asking a question to a large group of people? Only want them to reply to you and not the entire group, that’s where using the Blind Carbon Copy feature in your email comes in.

We’ve all seen the reply-all responses that do not pertain to us. To avoid being a reply-all’er use the BCC line to help get your message to the right group, but the responses only back to you.
