We are excited to announce that we are using a new form of school-to-home communication called ParentSquare. The program will roll out to everyone on Wednesday, July 5th. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection. It provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to:  

  • Send and receive school and class information

  • Real-time two-way translation for Posts and Direct Messages

  • Share pictures and files

  • See calendar items

  • Sign up to volunteer

  • Schedule parent-teacher conferences

  • and much more . . . all in one centralized place!

    Activate Your Account  
    Follow the link in your activation email/text, or sign up on parentsquare.com or via the ParentSquare app.

    Download App 
    It’s easy to stay in the loop with the ParentSquare app. Download it now for Apple iOS or Android iOS devices.

    Set Preferences
    Click your name in the top right to set your language preferences and how often you want to receive notifications.

    Get Photos & Files
    Click ‘Photos & Files’ in the sidebar to access pictures, forms and documents that have been shared with you.

    Appreciate Posts
    Click ‘Appreciate’ in your email/app or website to thank a teacher or staff member for a post.

    Comment or Reply
    Click ‘Comment’ in the app or on the website to privately ask a question about the post that your teacher or school sent.

    Participate
    Click ‘Sign Ups & RSVPs’ in the sidebar to see available opportunities. Click bell on top to check your commitments.

    Join a Group
    Click ‘Groups’ in the sidebar to join a group or committee at your school to participate or to stay up-to-date.

    Get in Touch

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Florence Unified School District will be using ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

    Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:

    • Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification 

    • Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm 

    • Communicate in your preferred language

    • Comment on school postings to engage with your school community

    • Direct message to teachers, staff and other parents

    • Participate in group messages

    • Sign up for parent-teacher conferences

    • Send payments, sign forms & permission slips, receive report cards, sign up to volunteer and more, all from your desktop or mobile device.

  • Yes. All parents and/or guardians are automatically registered to receive notifications through ParentSquare when they enroll their student. ParentSquare is the primary tool for district and school communication. Individuals who do not activate their account in ParentSquare will still receive an email digest at the end of each day when communication is sent out to them. In the event of emergencies, phone calls and text messages will be sent as well.

  • Please contact ParentSquare directly to have the accounts unmerged.

  • Yes! In addition to using ParentSquare’s online portal, you can download the FREE ParentSquare app to your iPhone or Android mobile device.

  • No worries, the process is easy! Families can log into the ParentSquare website or download the app using the email address or cell phone number that they provided to their child’s school. Once you are logged in, you can set notification preferences and make sure you are ready to communicate with FUSD in the new school year!
