Technological Resources
In K-8 classrooms, TVs are installed to enhance the learning environment, while high school classrooms are equipped with projectors and screens. These multimedia devices allow teachers to display various content and enable students to present their projects and collaborate with their peers.
Chromebooks are provided for every student in the district, which are portable devices that allow students to access online tools and the internet. They can use them for research, document creation, communication with teachers and peers, and completing assignments.
Our online curriculum provides students with differentiated instruction, feedback and assessment tools, and support for different levels and needs. Our students use these tools to learn in innovative and exciting ways by creating wikis, websites, blogs, and participating in video conferencing.
Technology integration is not only beneficial for students but also for teachers. It helps them plan engaging lessons, monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and collaborate with other educators. Our team of professionals provides excellent support and service to our schools, from technical troubleshooting to training and professional development opportunities.
The Florence Unified School District is proud of our technological resources and their contribution to educational outcomes. We believe that technology integration is essential for preparing students for the future. We invite you to learn more about our district and how we use technology to support learning.
