Energy Savings Program

The Florence Unified School District is committed to being a community leader in energy conservation.  Whether you are a teacher, parent, community member, or just an interested citizen, this page will provide you with information and resources relevant to the district's energy-saving goals.  This page will provide updated energy data for the district.

The district has also put in place an Energy Steering Committee (ESC), comprised of members of the administration and the schools. The ESC meets with Fusebox (powered by Pierce Energy Planning) quarterly to review data, discuss achievements from the past quarter, and determine opportunities and strategies for additional savings moving forward. Fusebox has also had teachers from each school participate in a 12-hour professional development course on sustainability, how to incorporate it into their classrooms, and how to organize and manage a Green Team.
